Does it hurt?

This may vary according to each individual’s pain threshold. Topical anaesthetics especially designed for permanent makeup are applied before and during the procedure and reduce the discomfort significantly. At Estheticly we numb the are for a minimum of 30 mins before we start the process. Our client’s comfort is our first priority!

How long does the procedure take?

It takes approximately 2 hours to do the procedure, this includes discussing the colour, shape and result you wish to achieve based on your skin tone, hair and eye colour, brow mapping which is measuring proportions of your face and adjusting asymmetry of your features. Our master in permanent cosmetics, Farzana will artistically choose the exact colour and style that will suit you best and harmonize with your personality.

What is the recovery time?

For 4-6 hours, the area treated will be slightly reddened and a bit swollen. The eyelids can remain puffy for 24-48 hours in about fifty percent of cases. Immediate use of ice gel packs will greatly reduce and sometimes eliminate swelling. The lips stay swollen for about 3 days. The eyebrows have minimal swelling. The permanent makeup will appear darker and intense for 5-7 days. By day 7 the scabbing and peeling will occur and the colour will settle down to looking softer and blended. Typically, recovery occurs from 7-10 days.

What products are used?

We exclusively use the SofTap line of pigments and tools. The pigments are vegetable based pigments and are hypoallergenic. From deliciously warm to seductively cool colours, the pigments are specifically formulated for lips, brows, eyeliner, camouflages and areolas. All topical anaesthetics used are medical grade to ensure client comfort.
